Skills/Compétences Canada is a national, not-for-profit organization that works with employers, educators, labour groups and governments to promote skilled trades and technology careers among Canadian youth. Our unique role enables us to work toward securing Canada’s future skilled labour needs while helping our youth to discover rewarding careers.
Incredible amounts of career possibilities are open to today’s youth. That’s why we’re dedicated to providing detailed information about careers in skilled trades and technology – to help simplify career decision-making. Our skilled career profiles speak to education requirements, expectations and the day-to-day workings of each featured career. And through our skills competitions, young Canadians are given the chance to experience these careers first-hand.
You can get involved with promoting these high demand careers by donating funds, equipment or training facilities for competitors. You can also participate as a volunteer or work with us at a national level to provide training and information specific to your industry.
