As part of National Technology Week and Canada Career Week, Skills/Compétences Canada offices across Canada will be hosting and promoting events to raise the awareness of skilled trades and technical careers to youth. This is an opportunity for your organization to get involved in a "hans-on" way to promote these careers to youth.
Skills/Compétences Canada wants to work with you and your organization to participate in Skilled Trades Day in Canada.
It is clear that skilled trades and technical careers are important for our economy and they are an excellent career path for many young Canadians. However, many young Canadians either don t know what trade or technical careers look like or what they entail. This day of events and information will provide young Canadians a peek into what career options are available.
